Seamless Gutters near Sun Prairie Wisconsin
The gutters on this hotel were significantly damaged by a recent hail storm. The dents were visible even from the ground on the four-story building, indicating the severity of the impact. Our team removed the damaged gutters and downspouts and installed a brand new seamless gutter system on this commercial property located near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
We used six-inch commercial-grade aluminum gutters and 3x4 commercial-grade aluminum downspouts, finished with square steel downspouts at the bottom. We were able to reuse the existing steel sections, seamlessly attaching the new aluminum downspouts to them.

This project required the use of a lift for safety and efficiency. One team member prepped the gutters on the ground while another, in the lift basket, removed the old gutters and installed the new ones. For longer sections, we used two people in the basket to steady the gutter and tack it into place on the fascia.
The downspouts reached lengths of up to 40 feet. Because they were attached to stucco, we used specialized screws designed to penetrate the stucco and securely anchor to the foam behind it. At the base of the wall, we installed ledge jumpers and used concrete anchors to attach the downspouts to the block.

For the lower gutters, we custom-cut the corners to ensure a precise fit, as the angles didn't match pre-manufactured miters. We then sealed each joint with a specialized aluminum sealant. The finished look was clean and professional. To prevent water from the upper downspouts from overshooting the lower gutters, we installed splash guards. We primarily used step ladders to avoid walking on the steel roof, though we do have specialized boots designed for walking on steel roofs without causing damage.

This image highlights a close-set of miters, including an outside miter and an inside miter in close proximity. Note the splash guard on top of the gutter and the downspout placement within the miter – a tight and challenging configuration.

This courtyard presented a unique challenge. Maneuvering a boom lift over the courtyard and up four stories to install the seamless gutters required careful planning and execution.
Installing gutters over the carport with its steel roof added another layer of complexity. Strong winds made handling the long gutter runs at 40 feet especially difficult. We worked on the less windy side of the building whenever possible, returning to the windy side as conditions allowed. Navigating the lift around cars and pedestrians also required extra caution.
Overall, this project was a valuable learning experience that further enhanced our expertise and craftsmanship. The completed seamless gutter system looks fantastic and provides reliable protection for the building.
